About Social Sports
The clubhouse at Bere Regis Sports Club is home to a vibrant range of social sporting activities enjoyed by members throughout the week. Whether you are a competitive player or simply looking for an enjoyable evening out, there is something for everyone.
Our social sports sections — darts, pool and the ROGS Golf Society — bring members together in a friendly and welcoming environment. New participants are always welcome.
Darts
The darts section meets regularly in the clubhouse and competes in the local darts leagues. Players of all abilities are welcome — whether you are a seasoned match player or a first-time thrower, the darts section is a great way to get involved and enjoy the club.
Fixtures & League Play
The club enters teams in local Dorset darts leagues. Home matches are played in the clubhouse. Check with the club for the current season schedule and upcoming fixtures.
Getting Involved
If you are interested in joining the darts section or want to practice informally, head along to the clubhouse during bar opening hours. Members are always happy to welcome new players.
Pool
The pool section plays in local competitions and the table is available for casual play during bar opening hours. Pool is a popular social activity in the clubhouse, enjoyed by members of all ages.
Casual & Competitive Play
The pool table is available throughout bar opening hours for informal matches. The club also fields players in local pool competitions. No prior experience is necessary to get involved.
ROGS Golf Society
The ROGS Golf Society (Roll Of Grandeur Society) is a long-established golf society connected to Bere Regis Sports Club. Members enjoy monthly fixtures at various courses across the region, culminating in an annual golf tour.
Monthly Fixtures
The golf society organises regular monthly rounds at courses throughout Dorset and the surrounding area. These are friendly, social rounds open to players of all handicaps, with a strong emphasis on enjoying the game and good company.
Annual Tour
Each year the ROGS Golf Society organises an annual tour, taking members to courses further afield. The tour is a highlight of the social calendar and a great opportunity to enjoy a longer golfing experience.
Roll of Honour
The society maintains a long-running roll of honour celebrating winners of its monthly and annual competitions. Past winners are recognised in the clubhouse.
Bar & Clubhouse
Social sports and activities take place at the clubhouse, which is open during the following regular hours. Times may vary around events and match schedules.
